DYO Leads Sector with R&D Centers With award-winning R&D centers that have brought numerous innovations to the sector, DYO Paints continues to develop innovative technologies and products by combining its market understanding capabilities with strong infrastructure. Turkishtime's carefully prepared R&D 250 ranking of Turkey's Highest R&D Spending Companies places DYO in 63rd position, 6th by number of projects undertaken and 19th by number of patents filed. Turkey's most established paint manufacturer DYO continues to play a leading role in the sector with its R&D centers and steer the market. By closely monitoring technology and prioritizing human health and environmental protection, it designs products that respond to customers' needs. The Turkey R&D 250 research, which has monitored Turkish business world's R&D spending since 2013, released 2021 data. In the Turkey R&D 250 ranking of Highest R&D Spending Companies, DYO ranks 63rd overall, 6th by number of projects undertaken and 19th by number of patents filed.

Advancing the Sector Through Innovation

DYO, which has centered science since its establishment, continues the work it began in 1967 with its R&D laboratory at its Çiğli R&D Center and Dilovası R&D Center, which are among Turkey's top 10 R&D centers. In 2021 within the scope of R&D activities, the Çiğli R&D Center completed 22 projects while continuing 30 new R&D projects and 5 TÜBİTAK projects. At the Dilovası R&D Center, DYO completed 18 projects in total, including 1 TÜBİTAK project, and launched 26 new R&D projects. As a result of the work, it introduced a total of 74 different and innovative products to the market during the year. DYO, which attaches importance to environmental and human health protection in every project it implements and will implement, and takes responsibility for leaving a more habitable world for future generations, continues its work on waste reduction through its Zero Waste Management System established within its sustainability vision. With the aim of minimizing waste levels and contributing to ecological awareness for a sustainable future, it continues its work on the use of recycled materials in product packaging and Water Footprint initiatives.
