Axalta launches thermoplastic anti-corrosion solution

Axalta Develops Thermoplastic Corrosion Prevention Solution Axalta announced the launch of Plascoat PPA571 FR (Flame Retardant), a new corrosion prevention coating solution designed to protect buildings and save lives. Leveraging decades of experience in thermoplastic technology, Axalta developed this new coating solution in response to the damage caused by fire and toxic fumes, which pose a major threat to human life and wellbeing. Coatings of this type, which can be applied in various environments, are fire-resistant and serve as a barrier against additional damage caused by flames. Unlike many other flame retardant solutions on the market, Plascoat PPA571 FR does not contain halogenated compounds such as chlorine or bromine. This helps eliminate the presence of toxic fumes and their resulting negative environmental impacts.
