Axalta's new partnership with Solera reinforces the company's commitment to sustainability. Leading global paints company Axalta announced a partnership with Solera, a global leader in vehicle lifecycle management. Through this partnership, Axalta's conventional and Fast Cure Low Energy (FCLE) refinish systems will be integrated into Solera's Sustainable Estimatics platform, enabling Axalta customers to estimate CO₂ emissions per repair by taking into account repair methods (repair versus replacement), paint application processes and drying conditions. As the first paint manufacturer to partner with Solera, Axalta Refinish customers will have access to a live dashboard that provides CO2 estimates to help energy-conscious, data-driven decision-making. Solera's Sustainable Estimatics platform represents the latest addition to Axalta's BELEAF range, through which the company assists auto repair facilities in reducing their environmental footprint while contributing to operational success by providing high-performance eco-conscious products, innovative tools and optimal resources. This resource underscores Axalta's commitment to sustainability and the BELEAF initiative. Troy Weaver, President of Axalta Global Refinish, said: "We are excited to partner with Solera and offer our customers a new solution. This technology aligns with Axalta's ongoing commitment to sustainability, which is on track to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, and has been designed with our customers in mind to help them reach their sustainability goals. By providing a CO2 emissions estimate per repair, this technology can enable repair facilities to make data-driven decisions to reduce their carbon footprint while also improving profit margins." Sustainable Estimatics for Paint facilitates the estimation of Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions, enabling organizations to provide reliable carbon emissions figures supported by an ISO-14064-01 certified company. Customers will also be able to review dashboards to analyze overall collision repair footprints and compare them with regional, country-specific and industry-wide data. Axalta, together with Solera, will provide refinish customers with products, tools and resources to help reduce their impact on the environment. Source
