AkzoNobel's Marine and Protective Coatings division has signed a Cooperation Agreement with Chinese energy and chemicals company Sinopec to support its global expansion and jointly advance the green energy transition.
Building on foundations laid in the early 2000s, this partnership will leverage AkzoNobel's global presence and cover the supply of high-performance International® branded coating products for Sinopec and its subsidiaries' overseas construction projects.
The agreement includes the provision of anti-corrosion coatings for steel structures, protective coatings specifically designed for high-temperature resistance, chemical-resistant coatings for storage tanks, and high-performance fire-protective coatings. These products will be used in top-tier quality projects such as refinery facilities, natural gas processing plants, and chemical production sites.
Simon Parker, Director of AkzoNobel's Marine and Protective Coatings division and Executive Committee member, stated: "We have successfully collaborated with Sinopec on many important projects previously.
