GTech Kimya positions itself as a technical solutions and knowledge centre operating on the principle of "process partnership" rather than mere product sales in industrial chemicals. The company, active in water treatment, energy, textiles and metal processing sectors, delivers high-efficiency solutions at low dosages while maintaining strict compliance with REACH regulations and ISO 9001 quality standards. With a vision focused on sustainable growth and proactive technical support, GTech Kimya aims to become a trusted reference brand in industrial chemicals within the next five years. In our interview, GTech Kimya Sales Director İbrahim Sezer explained the company's strategic vision.
GTech Kimya defines itself as an expertise centre that is 'knowledge-driven, innovative and solution-oriented'. Could you share your professional experience, the company's founding story, and where you stand today?
GTech Kimya's emergence was not a chance venture, but rather a strategic reflection of extensive field experience accumulated over many years, global supply chain knowledge, and deep expertise in industrial processes. Throughout my career, working across different geographies and numerous sectors, my most important insight was this: real value in industrial chemicals comes not from the product itself, but from integrating knowledge properly into the product.
When founding GTech Kimya, our goal was not simply to establish a chemical supply operation, but to create a technical solutions and knowledge centre that understands customers' processes, anticipates risks, and measurably increases efficiency. For this reason, we built our founding philosophy on "process partnership" rather than "product sales".
Today, we have become an organisation that builds long-term partnerships with both local and international customers in water treatment, energy, textiles, metal processing, agriculture and specialised industrial applications; positioned through technical competence and centred on sustainable growth.
Your portfolio includes numerous key chemical groups such as phosphonates, polymers, biocides, chelating agents and solvents. What products and services do you provide to customers, particularly in critical sectors such as water treatment, energy, textiles and metal processing?
We structure our portfolio on the principle of depth rather than breadth. We view each chemical group not as a standalone product, but as a strategic component that directly affects the performance of a specific process. In water treatment and energy sectors, we manage critical issues such as scale formation, corrosion and biological contamination through combinations of phosphonates, functional polymers and biocides, using low-dosage, long-lasting solutions. In the textiles sector, we provide systems with chelating agents and process aids that protect both product quality and the lifespan of machinery and equipment. In metal processing, we develop high-performance applications in surface cleaning, passivation and corrosion control.
What differentiates us in these sectors is not so much our product range, but rather our technical approach to determining at what point, with what parameters, and for what objectives a product should be used.
Your website frequently emphasises 'high efficiency at low dosage' and 'process efficiency'. Could you share your R&D activities, product development processes and sustainability approach?
"High efficiency at low dosage" is a fundamental principle that shapes all GTech Kimya's technical and strategic decisions. This approach represents not only a cost advantage, but a holistic perspective that reduces environmental impact, increases system stability, and decreases operational risk.
Our R&D and product development processes extend beyond laboratory-scale testing, progressing through a dynamic structure fed by field data. Optimisation of active ingredient ratios, elimination of unnecessary auxiliary components, and integration of more environmentally friendly alternatives into the system are the basic building blocks of this process.
We do not limit sustainability to products bearing bio-based or "green" labels alone. For us, sustainability means the ability to deliver the same performance with fewer resources. This approach is key to generating long-term value for both our customers and our sector.

You work with vastly different sectors such as water treatment, oil and gas, agriculture, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, each with different regulations and quality criteria. How do you organise compliance and quality management in terms of REACH compliance, quality certificates and customer audits?
Working with sectors subject to different regulations requires a strong quality culture and disciplined organisational structure. At GTech Kimya, quality and compliance management is not the responsibility of a separate department; it is the backbone of all operations.
We manage REACH compliance, product safety documentation, traceability and quality certification processes through a centralised and integrated system. Our quality management systems, primarily ISO 9001, are applied across all processes from supplier selection to final customer audits.
Particularly in audits conducted by our global and multinational customers, we stand out not only through document completeness, but also through our technical knowledge, process expertise and risk management capabilities. This approach has earned us long-term, trust-based partnerships.
Digitalisation and data-driven process monitoring have become critical in industrial chemicals. How do you implement your 'smart technology' and 24/7 technical support approach in the field as GTech Kimya?
We have built our technical support approach on a proactive and data-driven structure rather than a reactive one. In our work with customers, chemical consumption data, process parameters and performance outputs are analysed regularly.
This allows us not only to solve existing problems, but to identify potential risks in advance and optimise processes. In an optimisation project we conducted at a power plant, we successfully reduced chemical consumption substantially while increasing system safety and efficiency by reconfiguring product combinations and dosage strategy.
Such applications represent the real field equivalent of GTech Kimya's "24/7 technical support" approach.
What are GTech Kimya's growth and investment priorities for the next 5 years?
Our vision for the coming period is based on controlled, sustainable and high-value-added growth. In this context, we have three fundamental strategic axes. First, to focus on more niche, more technical and higher-performance solutions within our existing product groups. Second, selective and strategic geographical expansion, particularly in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. Third, developing new-generation products and applications in sustainability and green chemistry that have lower environmental impact and higher process efficiency.
Our long-term goal is to make GTech Kimya not merely a growing company, but a brand that is referenced, trusted and trend-setting in industrial chemicals.
