Interview with Emrah Ertürk, Founder and General Manager of Eze Makine

In the interview we conducted, Emrah Ertürk, Founder and General Manager of Eze Makine, answered our questions. Ertürk explained the development process and current structure of Eze Makine, and also provided information about the company's products and services for the paints and coatings sector.

Could you briefly tell our readers about yourself, your educational background and professional experience?

I was born in Istanbul in 1986. I met my wife while studying at university, we have been married for 7 years, and we have a son named Sarp. My education was extensive. I graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Istanbul University, followed by Automotive Education at Kocaeli University, and finally the Mechanical Engineering Department at Trakya University. I founded Eze Makine in 2012 and continue to work actively on our operations. I am also a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Board of Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Could you provide information about Eze Makine's founding process and the stages it has gone through to reach the present day? What is the current structure of Eze Makine?

I have always had a dream of establishing my own company in the manufacturing sector. While studying at university, I worked in the machinery manufacturing industry simultaneously to gain experience. With the experience I gained there, after completing my military service, I established my own company directly without working in either the private or public sector. Establishing my own company at a young age certainly had its challenges. In the early years of its establishment, we had very few customers and employees. Relying on my determination to work, my experience, and the education I received, I expanded my company's business volume on this path. Our current customers are among the most well-known brands in Turkey and the world, and we continue to serve with many employees.

Which sectors does Eze Makine primarily supply, and what types of products? Could you provide information about the products, brands and services that Eze Makine offers specifically for the paints, coatings and surface treatment sectors?

We provide chip-based manufacturing and special design apparatus fixture services to many different sectors including plastics, automotive, white goods, electronics and motors. In recent years, in line with requests from our customers, we design and manufacture wet paint, powder paint and coating suspension apparatus. The gap I have identified in this sector is the design aspect. Yes, manufacturing can be done somehow, but if the design is not correct, the apparatus manufactured does not last long. I do the design myself, and I really enjoy it. Designing suspension apparatus is like solving a puzzle. How and where you grip the part depends entirely on your imagination. There are certain criteria at the design stage: sustainability, ergonomics, cost, transportation, apparatus cleaning, and we bring all these together at a single point to complete the design.

Could you tell us about your domestic and international sales activities? Which regions do you primarily sell which types of products to domestically and internationally?

Due to our location, we serve the Thrace region. We have begun to acquire customers in different cities throughout the country. Exports are among our goals for the new year, and we are currently holding discussions on this matter.

What kind of work does Eze Makine conduct in the fields of innovation and R&D?

We are aware of the importance of R&D. Our investments and efforts in this direction continue to increase daily. During this period, we are working on a design for painting apparatus that will minimize cleaning. In addition, we continue to conduct in-house studies to provide higher quality service and increase efficiency.

Could you provide information about Eze Makine's environmental policy and sustainability approach? What can you say about your work related to occupational health and safety?

As Eze Makine, we have a high level of environmental awareness sensitivity. We have a plastic recycling machine, which is entirely our own design. With this machine, we participated in the Plast Eurasia fair at the TÜYAP fair center and received positive feedback. On the other hand, we continue the manufacturing and sales of this machine. We carry out our production by taking all necessary measures regarding occupational health and safety. We continue our work based on the principle of "safety first".

Which criteria are prioritized when Eze Makine formulates investment plans? Does Eze Makine have investment plans for the coming periods, and if so, what are they?

We progress each year by increasing our number of customers and turnover. In line with our growth targets, our priority investment plan is to expand our machinery park and renew the existing ones in line with technology. In this way, we are able to provide qualified service with a contemporary, standards-compliant and modern approach. Our investment plan for the coming period is to move our manufacturing to a larger area.
