Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu Named New Country Chair of Unilever Turkey

Unilever has selected a leader to head Turkey, a country playing a significant role in its global operations. Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu, Unilever Middle East & Turkey Home Care Leader, has been appointed as Unilever Turkey Country President in addition to his current responsibilities. Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu, who has successfully held the position of Unilever Middle East & Turkey Home Care Leader since 2022, was appointed as Unilever Turkey Country President as of 14 February 2024. In his new role, Orhonoğlu will continue to serve as Unilever Middle East & Turkey Home Care President alongside his duties as Unilever Turkey Country President. Throughout his impressive 28-year career at Unilever, Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu has undertaken significant responsibilities and played a major role in the sustainable growth of the home care category he leads, drawing on his extensive knowledge and experience. Thanks to Orhonoğlu's results-oriented and differentiated leadership, the Middle East & Turkey region has been among Unilever's strongest performing areas globally in its Home Care business group. Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu made the following statement regarding his new appointment:

It was previously announced that Mustafa Seçkin, who served as Unilever Middle East & Turkey Personal Care General Manager and Unilever Turkey Country President, was appointed as Unilever Europe, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand Ice Cream General Manager as of 1 February 2024. Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu Ali Fuat Orhonoğlu began his career in 1996 at Unilever Turkey's Customer Development department and held various positions in different functions at Unilever Turkey, including Field Sales, Commercial Marketing and Marketing. Orhonoğlu served as Unilever Gulf Countries Modern Trade Channels Manager in the United Arab Emirates between 2006 and 2009. Returning to Turkey in 2009, Orhonoğlu served as Customer Marketing Director responsible for the Home Care category until 2014. Between 2014 and 2016, Orhonoğlu held the position of Customer Development Director responsible for the Ice Cream category at Unilever Turkey. As of 2016, he took on the role of Vice President responsible for Sales and Customer Development as a member of Unilever Turkey's Board of Directors. Subsequently serving as Vice President responsible for Unilever Central Asia, Iran & Turkey Home Care category and as a member of Unilever Turkey's Board of Directors, Orhonoğlu was appointed as Unilever Middle East & Turkey Home Care category Leader on 1 July 2022 in line with Unilever's global Compass organizational restructuring. Orhonoğlu is a graduate of Marmara University's English Business Administration programme, is married and has two children.
