TAKEDA's Turkish Female Executives Abroad Expand Their Areas of Responsibility
Ebru Yavuz, who continues her role in Dubai as Director responsible for operations and communications of nearly 40 countries under the ICMEA Regional President, has been appointed as General Manager of Ukraine and the Commonwealth of Independent States, one of Takeda's expanding new key regions.
Like globally, Takeda ranks among the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in Turkey and continues its rapid growth. The company draws attention with successful female executives it sends from Turkey to positions abroad. Takeda's successful Turkish female managers serving in international positions are promoted to new positions within a short time due to their performance. The latest example of these appointments is Ebru Yavuz. Appointed as NEMEA Region Market Access and Commercial Director in 2017, Ebru Yavuz was promoted quickly due to her successful performance and was assigned last year to a position responsible for operations and communications of nearly 40 countries, including India, Middle East, Turkey, Algeria and South Africa, reporting to the ICMEA Regional President. [caption id="attachment_111897" align="aligncenter"] Ebru Yavuz[/caption]Ebru Yavuz received her new promotion in October 2020 and was appointed as General Manager of the Ukraine and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, a developing and growing key region for Takeda. This key region encompasses Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Uzbekistan under UKRAINE, as well as the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and is referred to as UCC.
Hacettepe University graduate from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Ebru Yavuz completed her MBA at Bilgi University. Before joining Takeda, she worked at companies such as Science Pharma and Novo Nordisk, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical sector. With over 20 years of comprehensive experience in licensing, pricing, reimbursement and public affairs, combined with her outstanding performance in her work, Ebru Yavuz was recognized with the Takeda Turkey Special Award and the Loyalty Award by the Emerging Markets President.Commenting on her new appointment, Ebru Yavuz said, "Takeda's ongoing evolution in the Ukraine and CIS markets excites me greatly, and I look forward to working with my team and partners in the region to ensure patients' growing needs are met with innovative treatments.
