SOCAR Türkiye Appoints New Head of Natural Gas Business Unit

Fuad İbrahimov has been appointed Head of the Natural Gas Business Unit at SOCAR Türkiye, overseeing natural gas distribution services under the Bursagaz and Kayserigaz brands, as well as natural gas and electricity supply, trading and wholesale services under the SOCAR brand. SOCAR Türkiye, which has completed its integration process and continues operations with its new corporate structure, has made a senior-level appointment. Effective 1 January 2022, Fuad İbrahimov will assume the position of Head of the Natural Gas Business Unit, under which companies operating in natural gas distribution, natural gas and electricity supply, trading and wholesale services are organized.

Who is Fuad İbrahimov?

İbrahimov began his career in Turkey in 2003, holding positions in trade, strategy, business development and investment in Turkey, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates. After joining the SOCAR Türkiye family in 2017 as Petrochemicals Trading Group Director, İbrahimov took on various management positions at the Refinery and Petrochemicals Business Unit and Corporate Center. Fuad İbrahimov, appointed to the position of Head of SOCAR Türkiye's Natural Gas Business Unit, will be responsible for the management of Bursagaz, Kayserigaz and SOCAR Enerji Ticaret companies operating under the relevant unit.
