Odin Safety
As Odin Safety, we manufacture certified, internationally-standard fall protection systems for high-altitude work—including horizontal lifelines, vertical lifelines, and anchorages—for all institutions and organizations in steel, defense, solar energy panel installation, energy, fuel, construction, and chemistry sectors. These systems are used for work on roofs, facades, bridges, cranes, machinery, and vehicles. We produce these systems at our facility in Gebze, Kocaeli.
We carry out installation after production, periodic inspections, and user training with our own team across Turkey and internationally. The fall protection systems we manufacture are products that require periodic inspection at least once per year from their installation date. Since these directly affect human health, strict monitoring of this schedule, informing customers, and timely execution are of critical importance.
We use a special system to remind us of projects that are due for periodic inspection. We begin the process by notifying customers three months before their periodic inspection is due.
Certified Products
At Odin Safety, to constantly remember and remind ourselves that we directly touch human lives, we have set our motto as "Connect to the Line. Connect to Life." With this philosophy, we work with internationally accredited bodies on the certification of all products we offer, particularly lifeline systems. Certificates vary according to product category. OD-MAXILINE and OD-ECOLINE Horizontal Lifelines hold EN 795:2012 TYPE C and CEN TS 16415:2013 TYPE C certification, Vertical Lifelines hold EN 353-1: 2014 + A1: 2017 certification, OD-EXT Ladder Extension Anchorages and OD-BH Ear Anchorages hold EN 795:2012 TYPE A and CEN TS 16415:2013 TYPE A certification, while OD-RB-44 Iron Core Anchorages and OD-S6 Steel Swivel Anchorages hold EN 795:2012 TYPE B and CEN TS 16415:2013 TYPE B certification. Requirements and preparations for all certificates vary. Following product certification, quality continuity is ensured through C2 Module inspection annually. We successfully manage these demanding and stressful processes through our experienced, disciplined, and committed team and the systems we have established.Clean Energy
We closely follow developments in clean energy and solar energy. We are seeing serious year-on-year increases in investment in renewable clean energy sources in our country and worldwide, particularly in solar energy. This situation brings us satisfaction due to its clean energy nature and Turkey's high potential. On the other hand, every new investment and new project requires us to evaluate and take precautions against certain risks. In terms of occupational safety and health, particularly for rooftops with solar power plants and solar energy systems—from the survey phase through solar panel installation to maintenance and cleaning of solar energy panels—since the work area exceeds 1.8 meters in height, work falls into the high-altitude work category due to slip and fall hazards, requiring implementation of job-specific occupational safety measures. One hundred percent connection at every stage of work and provision of a safe work area can be achieved through installation of certified horizontal lifelines on roofs and vertical lifelines and/or ladder anchorages on ladders leading to roofs. We recommend the permanent installation of these systems and, most importantly, encouraging workers to use them. We are also developing our products according to clean energy system needs through our Research and Development department. We have developed the OD-ECOLINE Horizontal Lifeline, which is compatible with solar energy panel installation, has fewer components, and requires less roof intervention. Since the beginning of 2023, we have been engineering this certified product on roofs. Our investments in new products will continue rapidly. We will launch another new product this year. On the other hand, we have investments in energy efficiency at our own factory, and these will continue. We would like to conclude this article, particularly with clean energy. Like the rest of the world, we support the transition to clean energy and are working toward it. We will be part of this change to leave a better future and world for our children and will work to create a clean energy culture just as we create an occupational safety culture.
