Bike Başaklar Appointed General Manager and Vice President of Novo Nordisk Türkiye

The Denmark-based global healthcare company Novo Nordisk, operating with 72,000 employees across 80 countries, continues to strengthen its organizational structure in Turkey and make important appointments. As of 1 January 2025, Bike Başaklar has been appointed General Manager and Vice President of Novo Nordisk Turkey.
Bike Başaklar completed a bachelor's degree in biology at Imperial College London and a master's degree in marketing at Strathclyde University Glasgow.
During his 18-year career at Novo Nordisk, Başaklar has held senior leadership roles in different countries and regions. He began his career at the company in 2007 as a Business Analyst in the BAMEAC (Middle East Africa and Commonwealth of Independent States) region headquartered in Istanbul. After serving as Product Manager and Project Manager in this structure, in 2013 he was promoted to Director of Commercial Operations and Strategy for the region and additionally served as General Manager of Iraq, one of the region's countries, for 1 year.
Following 7 years of experience as director, Başaklar was appointed Vice President of the SEEMEA (South East Europe Middle East and Africa) Region based in Zurich, where he implemented launch strategies for new products and customer excellence functions in the region. Continuing his career in Zurich, in 2022 Başaklar took on the role of Vice President of the Diabetes Portfolio within the Commercial Operations and Strategy Team in the International Operations Region. In this position, he successfully managed regional supply chain strategy processes, demonstrated effective leadership in developing new product marketing strategies and portfolio consolidation projects. Following this role, as of 1 January 2025, he was appointed General Manager and Vice President of Novo Nordisk Turkey.
