Nilay Midilli Appointed Univar EMEA Industry Director

Global chemical distributor and value-added service provider Univar announced the appointment of Nilay Midilli to the position of Univar Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers (CASE) Industry Director. In this position, Midilli will be responsible for further strengthening the supplier and customer network serving Univar's CASE market in the region. Nick Powell, Univar EMEA and Asia Pacific Vice President, to whom Midilli reports, said "Nilay has proven herself to be an excellent team leader and has the right experience and perspective to manage our CASE business in EMEA." "Nilay has a solid background in the industry and we look forward to seeing the results her leadership will bring us as we continue to deliver products, services and solutions that support performance for our customers, suppliers and Univar." Midilli joined Univar in 2011 with the acquisition of Eral-Protek, where she served for 11 years in numerous marketing, sales and business management positions. Previously, she held the position of Country Manager responsible for Univar operations in Turkey, which included a strong focus on the CASE market. Since April 2015, as Europe Trade Manager, she has successfully managed significant supplier relationships and new supplier authorizations together with CASE Product Management and Technical teams. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Istanbul Yildiz Technical University.
