New Appointments at Merck Turkey

Erdal Pazı, who has served as Financial Control Manager at Merck Turkey since 2015, has been assigned to the Northern Europe Region, with his position taken over by Seda Has, who brings 26 years of experience in Finance. Erdal Pazı, who has worked as "Financial Control Manager" at Merck Turkey since 2015, was assigned to the position of Financial Control Manager for the Northern Europe Region as of 1 April 2021. In this capacity, Mr. Pazı will be responsible for a total of 8 countries comprising the Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland) and Baltics (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia). During his tenure, Mr. Pazı, who was a member of the Merck Turkey Leadership Team, made significant contributions to Merck's transformation in recent years. After completing his undergraduate education at Marmara University's Department of Political Science and International Relations, Pazı had accumulated 16 years of finance experience in various positions within the Finance Department at Danone, Actavis and Novartis before joining Merck. Including Erdal Pazı's assignment, a total of 21 Merck Turkey employees have transferred to different positions abroad in the last 5 years. They have taken on positions in countries across different geographies such as the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Northern Europe and South Africa, in both short-term and permanent roles. These assignments are a clear indicator of Merck Turkey's commitment and success in the development of its employees and their promotion to international positions. On the other hand, as of 15 March 2021, Ms. Seda Has was assigned to the position of Financial Control Manager at Merck Turkey, vacated by Erdal Pazı. After completing her undergraduate education in Business Administration at Boğaziçi University, Ms. Has has accumulated a total of 26 years of experience in Control, Audit, Financial Planning and Analysis, Reporting, Trade Finance and Procurement at Ak-Al Tekstil, Xerox, Coca Cola and MSD. Previously, she held various positions at Coca Cola including Senior Business Analyst, Trade Finance Manager, Financial Control & Planning and Reporting Manager, and Procurement Process and Systems Manager. With this appointment, Seda Has, who will support Merck Turkey's relevant departments in achieving their operational and strategic objectives as a business partner, has also become a member of the country's Leadership Team.
