Merck Türkiye Announces New Appointment

Özge Cömert, who held the position of Director of Health Policies, Market Access and Pricing at Merck Turkey, was appointed as Oncology Therapeutic Area Director effective September 2019. Cömert will continue to serve in her current position on an interim basis. Özge Cömert, who began working at Merck Turkey in 2008, most recently served as Director of Health Policies, Market Access and Pricing, and was appointed as Oncology Therapeutic Area Director effective September 2019. Cömert will continue to serve in an interim capacity in her current position as Director of Health Policies, Market Access and Pricing. Contributing to the successes of the Oncology team through roles in Marketing, both in Turkey and in global and regional positions, Cömert began her professional career between 2005 and 2008 at Servier pharmaceutical company. With 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Özge Cömert achieved successful results in her recent role in Health Policies, Market Access and Pricing that impacted business outcomes together with her team. Özge Cömert completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy and her graduate degree (Executive MBA) at Koç University Department of Business Administration. Prior to her current position, she served as Oncology Marketing Manager and Product Manager at Merck Turkey, Oncology Marketing Manager at Merck Intercontinental Region, and in 2018 held a short-term assignment at the headquarters in Germany as Oncology Global Marketing Director.
