Menarini İlaç to Oversee Middle East and Africa Operations from Turkey
At the pharmaceutical company Ibrahim Etem – Menarini, Uğur Bingöl, who has held the position of General Manager since 2014, will assume the role of General Manager for Menarini Middle East and Africa Region as well as Turkey, effective 1 September. Through its new organisational restructuring, Menarini, Italy's largest pharmaceutical company, has assigned responsibility for 36 countries across three continents to Turkey.

Ibrahim Etem – Menarini, which has worked since its establishment in Turkey with a "value for people" vision centred on human beings and is one of the leading companies in Turkey's pharmaceutical sector, has added another achievement to its successes. Uğur Bingöl, who has headed Ibrahim Etem – Menarini as General Manager since 2014, will assume responsibility for Menarini Pharma's Middle East and Africa operations as of 1 September.
Bingöl, who will lead all strategy and commercial operations of the Turkey, Middle East and Africa Region, will serve as General Manager responsible for the Turkey, Middle East and Africa Region.
Expressing his enthusiasm about leading a broad team that encompasses Africa and Middle East regions in addition to Turkey, Uğur Bingöl stated: "As Ibrahim Etem – Menarini, which has marked many firsts in its history, we have extended our success in Turkey beyond borders with our annual production of over 100 million boxes, over 1,000 employees, our expert teams working in their respective fields and high-performing operations sustained by our valuable human resources.

Uğur Bingöl graduated from Boğaziçi University's Business Administration Department in 1986 and completed his master's (MBA) education at Koç University. Shortly after completing his undergraduate education, Bingöl entered business life, working for nearly 2 years in import, export and trade fields. In 1989, Bingöl entered the pharmaceutical sector at MSD as Product Group Manager, and subsequently served for 25 years as a senior executive at the same company in various positions ranging from Trade and External Relations Manager to Division Director across different business and therapeutic areas. As of 2014, Bingöl joined Menarini Turkey operations as General Manager. Uğur Bingöl, who continues in this position, is also a member of the Board of AIFD – Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies Association and KIPLAS – Turkey's Chemical, Petroleum, Rubber and Plastics Industry Employers' Association. With this appointment, Uğur Bingöl will assume the position of General Manager for Menarini Turkey, Middle East and Africa as of September.Advertisement
