Mehmet Serkan Metan Appointed to Key Position

Mehmet Serkan Metan has been appointed General Manager of Polisan Holding group companies Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları A.Ş. Metan will be responsible for operational activities and investments of Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları companies. Polisan Holding A.Ş., one of Turkey's established and leading group companies with investments in chemicals, paints and coatings, and port management, has made a senior-level appointment at its subsidiaries Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları. [caption id="attachment_158464" align="aligncenter"] Mehmet Serkan Metan[/caption] Mehmet Serkan Metan, who has held positions including Operations Director, Business Development Director, and Board Member at various companies in the building materials and chemicals sector during his 33-year career, has become the new General Manager of Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları. Before joining Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları as General Manager, Metan worked at Sözal Kimya Sanayi Ticaret A.Ş.     Mehmet Serkan Metan Mehmet Serkan Metan graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Middle East Technical University in 1997 and completed the Analytical Chemistry Option Program at Middle East Technical University. He began his career in 1990 as a supervisor at Istanbul Express International Transport company, and worked as a department manager at Denimko A.Ş. in 1999. Between 2000 and 2011, he served as Technology Group Leader at Organik Kimya A.Ş. He was subsequently appointed as Board Member at Clariant and Gebze Operations Director, and in 2018 took on the position of General Manager at Enka Civata company. Before joining Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları as General Manager, Metan held positions as Supply Chain Director, Business Development Director, Silicone Division Manager, and Board Member at Sözal Kimya Sanayi A.Ş. Metan was appointed General Manager of Polisan Kimya and Polisan Yapıkim Yapı Kimyasalları as of November 2023.
