Klaus Gast Elected to CEPE Board

Powder and liquid paint supplier Axalta (NYSE: AXTA) announced that Klaus Gast, Director of European Powder Coatings Business, has been elected to the CEPE Board (European Council of the Paint, Printing Ink and Artists' Colours Industries). Yves Kerstens, Vice President and EMEA President of Axalta, said: "It is critical that Axalta, as a leader in the sector and in innovation, is represented on the CEPE Board. We will have an important voice in shaping the agenda of this organization, which is focused on collaborative work, and this means we will also be able to contribute to continuing the sector's journey." He added: "Klaus Gast has contributed invaluable expertise over many years, and I am confident he will provide the same level of excellent contribution to the Board and ultimately to its members." Klaus Gast, who joined Axalta in August 2018 and is based at the EMEA regional headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, will serve on the CEPE Board for the next three years and will also have the potential for reelection for a subsequent three-year term. Gast's election to the board marks a sign of his return to the CEPE Board.
