Henkel Announces New Appointment

Töre Birol, who held the position of Vice President of Sales and Country Management for Laundry and Home Care at Henkel Europe, has been appointed as Corporate Vice President of Henkel Laundry and Home Care Global Sales. Birol will continue his new role at Henkel's headquarters in Düsseldorf. A graduate of the International Relations Department at Istanbul University who completed his MBA at Oxford Brookes University, Töre Birol held various positions at Koç Holding, BP and Nielsen before joining Henkel in 2006 as Category Manager. In 2007, he was appointed as International Chain Stores Channel Manager at Henkel. In 2009, he took on the role of Turkey Chain Stores & Commercial Marketing & Category Management Director, and in 2011 assumed the position of General Manager of Henkel Baltics. In 2012, he continued his career as General Manager and Board Chairman of Henkel Ukraine. After achieving significant success as General Manager of Turkish Henkel Laundry and Home Care during 2015-2017, Birol was appointed in 2018 to the position of Vice President of Sales and Country Management for Henkel Laundry and Home Care Europe. Fluent in English and proficient in German and Italian, Birol will now continue his role as Corporate Vice President of Henkel Laundry and Home Care Global Sales.
