Having held various positions at BASF since 2006, Buğra Kavuncu was appointed to his new role as Chief Executive Officer of BASF Türk Kimya as of January 2016.
Between 1997 and 2006, as partner and director of USTA LLP, Kavuncu expanded the firm in Central Asia's construction chemicals sector through significant investments. He served as General Manager at BASF Construction Chemicals Central Asia LLP from 2006 to 2008, and at BASF Central Asia from 2008 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2012, he held the position of Market Manager for BASF Construction Chemicals CIS Countries based in Switzerland, and from 2012 to 2014 served as Market Manager for CIS Countries while also working as General Manager of BASF Construction Chemicals Turkey.
After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics in 1997, Buğra Kavuncu began his career in construction chemicals in Almaty, Kazakhstan. With his expertise in sales, marketing and investment, Kavuncu has achieved successful results. He is fluent in Russian, English and Kazakh. Kavuncu is married and father of three children.
