Senior appointment at Azelis

Executive Appointment at Azelis Burcu Gezegen Özdemir, who has been working at Azelis since 2011, has been appointed as General Manager for Turkey. An important appointment has taken place at Azelis, a global innovation and service provider in the specialty chemicals and food ingredients industry. Burcu Gezegen Özdemir has been appointed to the position of General Manager for Turkey, following Sertaç Sürür's appointment as President of the Azelis Asia-Pacific Region. Burcu Gezegen will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Azelis Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region.   After graduating from Istanbul University's Department of International Relations, Burcu Gezegen completed her master's degree in the same field at Paris Nanterre University. In 2016, she obtained a certificate in Organizational Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and in 2017, she completed an Executive MBA at Sabancı University. Burcu Gezegen has more than 15 years of experience in the chemical industry. She joined Azelis in 2011 and most recently served as Director of the Industrial Chemicals Business Unit.  

Strengthening Market Position

In her new position, Burcu Gezegen will be responsible for accelerating growth through Azelis' strategic priorities of innovation, sustainability and digitalization, developing relationships with supplier partners and customers, and continuously improving Azelis' business through acquisitions and mergers. Under Burcu Gezegen's leadership, Azelis Turkey will continue to focus on growth priorities with customers, suppliers and through M&A; and will work to strengthen its market position with the support of innovation, sustainability and digitalization strategies.
