3M Türkiye Appoints New Plant Manager
3M Turkey, one of Turkey's major manufacturing hubs, has appointed İlker Şengüzel, who brings 10 years of experience at 3M Turkey, to lead the Çorlu and Çerkezköy Plants.
3M, which has been operating in Turkey since 1987, operates two production bases, including the Çerkezköy facility which has won the British Safety Council's 61st International Occupational Safety Award. The Çorlu and Çerkezköy plants were entrusted to İlker Şengüzel, who completed a decade at 3M as of July 2020. Şengüzel graduated from Middle East Technical University's Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2006 and joined 3M in 2010 as a Production Leader, subsequently holding various positions across several departments.
At 3M Turkey, Şengüzel successively served as SixSigma Project Manager for the Çorlu and Çerkezköy plants, Production Technologies and Quality Manager, and Automotive and Personal Protective Equipment Production and Supply Chain Manager. Before his appointment as Director of 3M Turkey's Çorlu and Çerkezköy Plants, Şengüzel held the position of Production Operations Manager for the Çorlu and Çerkezköy Plants.
