Zorlu Enerji Rises to the Top in Global ESG Assessment

Zorlu Enerji has achieved a significant international success with its performance in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) fields. In the latest ESG assessment conducted under S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), the company raised its score from 74 to 85 points, an 11-point increase compared to the previous year. Thus, Zorlu Enerji strengthened its position among global sustainability leaders through its renewable energy investments, net-zero strategy and high data transparency.
Zorlu Enerji achieved significant international recognition for its environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance. In the latest ESG measurement conducted under S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), the company raised its score from 74 to 85 points, an increase of 11 points compared to the previous year. This strengthened Zorlu Enerji's position among global sustainability leaders thanks to renewable energy investments, net-zero strategy and high data transparency.
According to the assessment results, the company scored 88 in environmental dimension, 85 in social dimension, and 76 in governance and economic dimension, demonstrating balanced and high performance across all three areas of sustainability.
Superior Performance in Climate Strategy and Biodiversity
Zorlu Enerji also achieved high scores in S&P Global's data transparency assessment, demonstrating disclosure performance aligned with international standards. Product responsibility, climate strategy and human capital management—among the criteria weighted most heavily in the ESG assessment—emerged as the company's strong areas.
Zorlu Enerji, which has invested exclusively in renewable sources for years, continues to contribute to the transition toward a low-carbon economy. The company's score of 93 in climate strategy demonstrates its success in net-zero targets, climate risk analysis, TCFD alignment and internal carbon pricing practices.
Zorlu Enerji scored 99 in biodiversity work and 97 in waste and emissions management; it was evaluated at the sector's highest level with 97 points in sustainable revenue categories, 98 in power generation portfolio and 100 in production efficiency.
Leadership in Transparency, Ethical Management and Customer Satisfaction
The company demonstrated top-tier performance by scoring 100 points in customer relationship management. Transparent reporting and verification processes were also evaluated at 100 points.
Business ethics practices scored 98, supply chain management 96, risk and crisis management 91, and information security 85 points, demonstrating that Zorlu Enerji maintains a strong and comprehensive management approach within its sustainability framework.
