Turkish Ytong, recognized for its pioneering work on environmentally friendly products and sustainable construction, has qualified its management headquarters building to receive the "LEED Gold" certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Turkish Ytong's new management headquarters building has qualified to receive the "LEED Gold" certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Through environmentally friendly products and production technology, Ytong supports sustainable construction in the country and contributes to green buildings. The company constructs and certifies all new investments according to green building criteria and conducts exemplary work in this field. The Ytong Management Center located in Istanbul Maltepe was designed and built in compliance with LEED criteria with the aim of preventing the negative environmental impacts of construction. Through the applied strategies and systems used, building operating costs were reduced, the comfort of building users was increased, and energy and water savings were achieved, thereby lowering expenses. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), as the certification system is called, is defined as an international certification system that establishes standards for design, construction and subsequent operational solutions in buildings. The system is managed and developed by USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council).

Some of the sustainable strategies and solutions applied at the Ytong Management Center within the scope of the LEED System:

• Individual vehicle use was reduced by selecting a location near public transportation options, and carbon emissions from transportation were lowered through facilities that encourage alternative options such as bicycle use and vehicle sharing. • Energy efficiency was prioritized in all systems consuming energy in the building. With efficient and advanced technology water fixtures used, a target of over 40% savings in water consumption was set. • Waste recycling points were established in the building. Materials with "Environmental Product Declaration" certificates, namely EPD documents, were preferred, selecting products with reduced environmental impact from the production stage onwards. • Individual control was prioritized in heating and lighting systems to achieve both energy savings and improved indoor living quality. Through applications in ventilation, fresh air and indoor thermal comfort design, users were provided with a healthy and comfortable environment.
