Yıldız Holding’s Traditional Ramadan Exhibition Opens Its Doors This Year with “Sabrın Nakşı”

Yıldız Holding continues its tradition of welcoming Ramadan with the finest examples of Turkish-Islamic art through the "Pattern of Patience" exhibition. The opening of the exhibition, which brings together refined examples of illumination, calligraphy and paper-cut art, brought together the art community at Çamlıca Campus under the hosting of Yıldız Holding Board Chairman and CEO Mehmet Tütüncü. The "Pattern of Patience" exhibition will be open for visits until 19 March 2026.

In line with its "Make Happy, Be Happy" philosophy and its goal of bringing art together with society, Yıldız Holding continues to hold exhibitions traditionally organized in Ramadan each year. The "Pattern of Patience" exhibition, inspired this year by the theme of "patience" and opening its doors at Yıldız Holding's Çamlıca Campus, makes visible the labor in the production processes of illumination, calligraphy and paper-cut arts, the delicate craftsmanship and spiritual depth. 

The exhibition features 52 works produced in different techniques and styles by paper-cut artist Dürdane Ünver, illumination artist Mamure Öz, architect-calligrapher M. Semih İrteş, paper-cut artist Safiye Morçay and illumination and calligraphy artist Sevgi İrteş. 

In the "Pattern of Patience" exhibition, curated by Yıldız Holding Art Adviser E. Esra Gönçüoğlu; ornamental depictions of the Prophet, Quranic verses, prayers, poetry panels and original compositions where paper-cut art comes together with miniature are presented to visitors' appreciation.

In this blessed month that reminds us of patience, sharing and contemplation, we experience the joy and peace of reaching hearts with the refined and meaningful works of our traditional art. In paper-cut art, we see paper being patiently carved and transformed into a treasure, the calligraphy art whose origins extend to Central Asia, and the illumination art where patience transforms into an aesthetic discipline—all brought together in this exhibition. Each work carries traces of inner discipline beyond the visible, careful labor and a refined relationship built over time. On this occasion, I extend my gratitude to our esteemed artists Dürdane Ünver, Mamure Öz, M. Semih İrteş, Safiye Morçay and Sevgi İrteş who contributed with their efforts to this meaningful exhibition; to our valued collectors who shared their works with us; and to our art adviser Esra Gönçüoğlu who undertook the curation of the exhibition.
