Yıldız Holding Hosts Horizon Europe Programme Event Yıldız Holding hosted a Private Sector Awareness Event for the Horizon Europe Programme, one of the major civilian research and innovation programmes run by the European Union (EU). According to a statement from the holding, an awareness meeting was organised under the Yıldız Holding umbrella regarding the 'Horizon Europe' programme run by the European Union, as the holding continues its activities without interruption through research and development and innovation investments for a sustainable future. The event, hosted by Yıldız Holding Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer Mehmet Tütüncü, was attended by the European Union Presidency Director General of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent Özcan, Horizon Europe Programme experts and TUBITAK officials. Horizon Europe, which aims to provide grants and technical support for projects to be conducted in the fields of research and innovation during the 2021-2027 period, supports innovative work under topics such as climate change adaptation, soil health and food, and digital technologies.

Reminding that Turkey is part of this programme, Özcan made the following assessments: 'We signed our participation agreement in October 2021. For our country to benefit to the maximum extent from this programme, it is important that the private sector becomes involved in the process and develops projects. At this meeting hosted by Yıldız Holding, we had the opportunity to present the Horizon Europe Programme to both companies within the holding and organisations working with the holding, together with TUBITAK representatives who coordinate the programme in Turkey. In the coming period, we discussed project opportunities in areas such as sustainability, green transition, digitalisation, food, entrepreneurship, manufacturing industry transformation, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
