New OSB Zones to Receive Logistics Support

The relocation process of SMEs outside Istanbul with state incentives has reached its conclusion. Batu International Logistics Board Chairman Taner Ankara, speaking about the importance of uninterrupted logistics operations in the new organized industrial zones to be established, announced that they will focus their work in these regions. The process of relocating SMEs operating in Istanbul to outside the city has reached its final stage. Within this scope, relocation notices have been sent to 3,000 companies, and with the incentives provided by the state, costs are expected to decrease by 50 percent. This transformation directly concerns the logistics sector, which is one of the most important sectors in increasing trade volume. In fact, the positioning of new organized industrial zones established under the transformation in locations far from logistics centers means that transportation activities in these regions will also increase. Batu International Logistics Board Chairman Taner Ankara, expressing his views on the matter, said that transportation activities in the newly established organized industrial zones may prove insufficient, that these regions have great importance for the logistics sector, and that investments in these regions need to increase. Stating that they have decided to increase warehouse investments in Anatolia along with production shifting towards Anatolia through state incentives, Taner Ankara said: "Now, in order to ensure that transportation activities in the newly established organized industrial zones continue without interruption and fully, focusing on our work in these regions is among our plans."
