New Integrated Plant Investment Brings Award to DowAksa

DowAksa's new integrated facility investment in Yalova brings award recognition. DowAksa has been recognized with an award in the 'Investment' category at the 'IAmChamPion Awards' organized by the American Business Council (AmCham Turkey). At the IAmChamPion Awards, DowAksa, which received the award in the "Investment" category, was presented with the honor by Burak Dağlıoğlu, Head of the Presidential Investment Office, and Emre Karter, General Manager of Citibank Turkey, to İhsan Necipoğlu, Public Markets Director at DowAksa. The facility, which DowAksa constructed on 117,000 square meters in Yalova and is planned to begin full-capacity production in 2023, will create 500 new jobs. Upon completion, the facility will represent an important step for DowAksa to reach the capacity needed to meet rising demand in the wind energy sector in the short and medium term. The new production facility will also contribute to increasing Turkey's share in industrial sectors using carbon fiber. This investment will not only provide value-added export and employment opportunities, but will also support Turkey's self-sufficiency in strategic sectors. The 'IAmChamPion Awards' program is organized by AmCham Turkey, which was established in 2004 to further develop bilateral trade and investment between Turkey and the United States, in order to recognize and encourage companies that sustain bilateral economic development between Turkey and the United States.
