University and Industry Join Forces: Young Talents Rewarded for Their Designs

The "Household Cleaning Product Packaging Design Student Competition," organized through the strategic partnership between İstanbul Arel University and Bileşim Kimya, concluded with a grand ceremony. The competition, aimed at bringing young designers' creative vision together with industrial expectations, offered students invaluable field experience before stepping into professional careers. This project, where theoretical education was enriched with practical application, prepared talented youth to engage with the business world at an early stage.
Speaking at the ceremony, Istanbul Arel University Rector Prof. Dr. Ersin Göse and Bileşim Kimya Board Member Ruhi Aray Arsu emphasized the importance of combining theoretical knowledge from universities with practice. Both noted that innovative solutions from young minds bring fresh perspective to the sector.

Design Success Leaderboard
Students who combined aesthetic appearance with functional details in their packaging designs were carefully evaluated by an expert jury. The competition winners were:
• First place: Öykü Nalbant (Graphic Design Program)
• Second place: Ömer Şen (Game Development and Programming Program)
• Third place: Hayrunisa Gürsoy (Graphic Design Program)

Bileşim Kimya Human Resources Manager Hasan Pektaş stated that they view this initiative not merely as a competition but as a process of discovering the sector's future leaders. Pointing to the strategic role of university partnerships in creating qualified workforce, Pektaş noted that the perspective of young people accelerates sectoral development.
Reminding that they operate with corporate responsibility awareness, Pektaş announced that they will continue to bring young talent to the sector while still in the education phase and support their development, with similar projects set to expand going forward.
