Significant Development in University-Industry Cooperation

Important Development in University-Industry Collaboration Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) management continues to work towards developing university-industry cooperation. Through a cooperation agreement signed between the university and Dulylife Pharmaceutical company, joint R&D and production-R&D projects will be implemented. A protocol was signed between BUÜ and Dulylife Pharmaceutical Food Cosmetics Agriculture Machinery Textile Import Export Industrial Trading Ltd. Co., which operates in the field of food supplements. Through the protocol implemented within the scope of university-industry cooperation, the aims are to carry out joint R&D and production-R&D projects, jointly utilize laboratory facilities available to both parties, meet required training resources, and find scientific solutions to problems encountered in the sector. Uludağ University Technology Transfer Office Deputy Director Nihal Sağlam was also present at the signing ceremony held between BUÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz and Dulylife Pharmaceutical company manager Lale Yıldız. "From the first day we took office, we have been striving to create a university model that is student-friendly, pursues academic excellence and serves society" Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz emphasized that they are open to all kinds of proposals for developing university-industry cooperation. Noting that they have been in dialogue with all segments of society for approximately 3 years, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz stated: "From the first day we took office, we have been striving to create a university model that is student-friendly, pursues academic excellence and serves society. With the qualified human resources we have trained, we offer the scientific and technological data we produce to the service of society. Thanks to these qualities, we have come to be positioned as the scientific mind of Bursa in every sense. University-industry cooperation is among the work areas we attach special importance to. We have begun to stand out with our efforts in this field. We view every cooperation to be undertaken as a new opportunity for academic and scientific work. We believe that the protocol we signed today will lead to beneficial results." Prof. Dr. A. Saim Kılavuz noted that every work conducted within the scope of university-industry cooperation should also be evaluated as an activity for the benefit of society and the country. He stated: "Universities must always serve the public interest. It is necessary that the outputs of scientific works to be conducted through these cooperations be reflected to society. I extend our gratitude to our company and to the academics who will work in this field." Lale Yıldız also stated that they feel greatly honored to be collaborating scientifically with Bursa Uludağ University. Explaining that they conduct production and marketing activities in the field of food supplements, Lale Yıldız noted that with the support of the university, they believe they will prepare more productive projects in R&D. The parties signed the cooperation protocol following their remarks.
