Universal Robots participated in Polymer Technology Days organised by TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Istanbul Branch and presented cobot technologies. Universal Robots Turkey & MEA Country Manager Kandan Özgür Gök explained the advantages that cobots bring to production and production processes through example cobot applications and answered participants' questions.
Universal Robots, the world's leading collaborative robot manufacturer, added another event to those where it explains accessible cobot technology for every company, regardless of size or sector.
Universal Robots participated in Polymer Technology Days, organised online on 16 June 2021 by the "Plastics Materials and Processing Technologies" (PIT) working group of TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers Istanbul Branch, and explained collaborative robot technology and the contribution of cobots to production processes.
At the webinar, Universal Robots Turkey & MEA Country Manager Kandan Özgür Gök highlighted that cobots, which occupy less space than conventional industrial robots, consume less energy, are quickly set up, easily programmed, flexibly positioned and can work safely alongside people, provide rapid return on investment for companies.
He emphasised that cobots can be customised according to company needs through equipment such as grippers, cameras and sensors in the UR+ ecosystem, application kits and special software. In the webinar, where application examples from different sectors were also explained interactively, Gök provided detailed information about the advantages that cobots provide to manufacturers.
Cobot Technology; for every industry, application and companies of all sizes
Sharing his views after the webinar, Universal Robots Turkey & MEA Country Manager Kandan Özgür Gök said, "As Universal Robots, the inventor of collaborative robot technology, we explain whenever we find the opportunity on all platforms how cobot technology, which has been part of our lives for the past 20 years, can be integrated into production processes in more sectors and how manufacturers of all sizes can benefit from the advantages it provides. At this point, our 55 thousand cobots in 50 countries are used by companies of all sizes in diverse applications across every industry and service area." Gök continued: "We support our cobots, which come in two different series – CB3 and e-Series – with different payload capacities, with equipment, application kits and software that each company can choose according to its own needs, and we increase our global collaborations every day. Today we have an ecosystem with cobots in production and we include manufacturers using our cobots in production within this ecosystem. In this way, we enable them to benefit from many advantages such as productivity, profitability and cost savings in production."Advertisement
