Unilever Türkiye Donates 230 Tons of Bleach to Ministry of Health

The Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire world has prompted Unilever, as a corporate citizen, to contribute to the joint effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in our country. The company has donated 230 tons of Domestos to the Ministry of Health. Ten trucks laden with bleach departed from Unilever Turkey's factory in Konya for delivery to relevant centers under the coordination of the General Directorate of Public Hospitals. The donation aims to help meet the hygiene requirements of hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health. Leyal Eskin Yılmaz, Board Member responsible for Unilever's Home Care category, noted that they applaud, along with all segments of society, the superhuman effort demonstrated by the Ministry of Health and healthcare workers during this difficult period. Noting that as a company they always aim to create positive impact in society through their brands, business operations and relationships, Eskin Yılmaz stated: "Being there for the hygiene needs of all segments of society forms the brand purpose of our Domestos bleach brand. Based on this brand purpose, we wanted to support our healthcare workers' efforts by contributing to their hygiene needs to some extent. Our application to the Ministry of Health for this purpose was swiftly approved. We then immediately launched the necessary work to deliver 230 tons of Domestos bleach to the General Directorate of Public Hospitals of the Turkish Ministry of Health. We feel obliged to thank all our factory employees who worked with great dedication during this process on the production and shipment of the products," he said.
