Turkey's Top 20 Technology and Science Entrepreneurs to Meet at Hello Tomorrow Türkiye Finals
Turkey's over 60 technology transfer offices, incubation and acceleration centers, and ecosystem partner Hello Tomorrow will host the Turkey Finals of Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge, the 5th edition of the "International Deep-tech (Science and Technology) Competition," on 11 December Tuesday at PSM.
At the event where 4 global innovation leaders will speak across 4 main categories – "Energy and environment", "health and biotechnology", "industry and new materials" and "data and artificial intelligence" – Kevin Noertker, founder of Ampaire, the retrofitted electric aircraft developer targeted for FAA certification by end of 2020, will speak on "electric aircraft", Raymond Lo, CEO of Augmented Reality company MODAR AI and from Harvard Innovation Laboratory, will address "Achieving Superhuman Intelligence", Sebastian Desand, CEO of IngridCloud, will present "Improving Fluid Dynamics With The Power Of Supercomputers" and Dr. Shafi Ahmed will speak on "Exponential Medicine – Virtual Reality Interactive Surgery". At this important event, electric aircraft developer Ampaire will showcase its first demonstration to participants on 11 December.
Category winners selected by the Turkey jury from among 12 startups chosen by the global jury, under the moderation of Ferhan Cook, will be invited to the investment day and global summit to be held in Paris on 14–15 March 2019, where they will have the opportunity to meet with over 200 international investors.
Timur Topalgökçeli, Founder of Hello Tomorrow Turkey, which has operated within Turkey's domestic technology production strategy since its establishment, stated: "As Hello Tomorrow Turkey, we are helping science and technology-based startups appropriately 'pivot' in the current environment. In this context, from our first contact in Turkey in 2016 to today, we have built a valuable community of over 3,000 people from four corners of our country.
Topalgökçeli disclosed the finalists through research findings where careful analytical reviews were conducted when selecting participants this year, citing examples such as applications of artificial intelligence-based data analysis and software systems in different sectors, or accelerating drug development for disease treatment or contributing to clean technology production.
