Türkiye İMSAD Elects New President
Türkiye İMSAD Board Chairman Tayfun Küçükoğlu: "We believe in the high development potential of the construction materials industry both domestically and internationally," he said.
Tayfun Küçükoğlu was elected Chairman of the Board by unanimous vote at the 37th Ordinary General Assembly. Stating that he will now serve the sector as chairman at Türkiye İMSAD, where he has served on management boards for many years, Tayfun Küçükoğlu said, "As Türkiye İMSAD, representing all groups of the construction materials industry, we believe in the high development potential of our sector both domestically and internationally. We are committed to developing our activities to ensure that this growth is stable and sustainable."
At Türkiye İMSAD's 37th Ordinary General Assembly, the management and supervisory boards that will serve for a 3-year period covering 2020-2023 were determined. At the board meeting following the General Assembly, Tayfun Küçükoğlu, General Manager of Betek Boya, was elected Chairman of the Board of Türkiye İMSAD.
Ferdi Erdoğan: "Sustainable growth must be achieved through industry"
Ferdi Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Türkiye İMSAD for the 2017-2020 period, shared the work carried out during his tenure and his assessments regarding the sector, wishing success to the new board. Noting that the construction materials industry's total market size in 2019 was USD 88 billion, the domestic market size was USD 66.5 billion, and total exports reached USD 21.5 billion, Ferdi Erdoğan said, "When we compare data between 2017-2019 regarding the construction sector, construction materials sector, per capita income, and indeed much of the economy, we can say we have returned to 2011. However, needs have increased due to demographic reasons. In this regard, sustainable economic growth must necessarily be achieved through industry."Tayfun Küçükoğlu: "The importance of our contribution to our country will increase further"
Stating that they are candidates for management with the awareness that Türkiye İMSAD's impact on its sector will be more important and critical in the challenging period ahead, Tayfun Küçükoğlu, the new Chairman of the Board of Türkiye İMSAD, said, "The members of Türkiye İMSAD, the 36-year umbrella organization of the construction materials sector, through their investments, commercial activities, employment creation, and success in foreign trade, provide significant contribution to our country's development. In the coming years, the importance of this contribution will increase further.""We have an important role and responsibility in the sector"
Emphasizing that Türkiye İMSAD represents all groups of the construction materials industry, Tayfun Küçükoğlu continued his remarks: "Türkiye İMSAD has an important role and responsibility in the sector. Today, with 87 member companies, 51 sector representative associations, and 3 university members, we take pride in bringing the sector together under one roof. To date, Türkiye İMSAD, through its membership structure, committees, activities, and events, has been an institution that has set an example for many sectors. I believe that in the coming period, with our increasing coordination within the sector, we will collectively provide greater benefit to our sector. We believe in the high development potential of our sector both domestically and internationally. At the opening speech of the Türkiye İMSAD Member Meeting held following the General Assembly, Chairman of the Board Tayfun Küçükoğlu stated: "We will continue at full speed with the projects we have carried out together with colleagues we worked with in management in the previous period. With contributions and suggestions from you, we aim to realize new projects as well. Türkiye İMSAD is a locomotive in our country's development and has an important role and responsibility in the sector. Tayfun Küçükoğlu was born in Ankara in 1961 and graduated from Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Management in 1984. He was one of the founding members of Betek in 1988 and held various positions within Betek. Since 1995, he has served as General Manager and Board Member. Tayfun Küçükoğlu served as a Board Member of BOSAD and İZODER, and was Chairman of the Board of İZODER from 2015 to 2017.Türkiye İMSAD 2020-2023 Period Board Members:
