EDSİS's first-half 2026 projects reflect a comprehensive approach shaped around knowledge generation, human resources development, data visibility and international cooperation. The association aims to make energy storage more understandable and accessible to all stakeholders through published reports, guides and content series.
Turkey Energy Storage Map on the Way
The Turkey Energy Storage Map prepared by EDSİS aims to visualize current and planned energy storage projects across the country, installed capacities, technological distribution and regional density. The map is expected to serve as a strategic reference source for investors, policymakers and sector professionals.
Common Language for Energy Storage: Glossary and Guide Work
EDSİS has launched work on the Energy Storage Glossary and Implementation Guide to respond to the sector's fundamental needs. This work aims to create a standard reference source for Turkish equivalents of technical concepts frequently used in the energy storage field.
The glossary is expected to contribute to healthier and more sustainable implementation of investments by consolidating technical, legal and operational frameworks in a single document for investors, developers and operators.
"Storage 101" Content Series Launching
The "Storage 101" content series, aimed at making energy storage understandable to all stakeholders, is also among EDSİS's 2026 projects. Designed for a broad target audience including academia, industry, investors, government and media;
-basic concepts of energy storage technologies,
-regulatory structures,
-application examples and
-future projections
among many other topics will be covered.
International Cooperation and Global Comparison
EDSİS aims to take a more active role in the global energy storage ecosystem. In this direction, joint projects are being developed with energy storage associations abroad.
The "Global Countries Energy Storage Systems Comparison Table" under preparation will present storage capacities, regulatory structures and technological approaches in different countries in a comparative manner. The work is expected to contribute to a clearer analysis of Turkey's position in the global energy storage landscape.

EDSİS Board Chairman C. Can Tutaşı made the following statements in his evaluation of the announced projects:
"Energy storage is no longer merely a complementary technology; it is now a strategic field at the center of renewable energy integration, grid flexibility and energy supply security.
As EDSİS enters 2026, we have set our priorities as correct knowledge generation, creating a common language, and building a sustainable ecosystem that includes all sector stakeholders. Through the Energy Storage Glossary and the 'Storage 101' series, we aim to reduce fragmentation of knowledge in the sector; and through the national map and international comparisons, we aim to make Turkey's energy storage potential visible."

Young Professionals Joining the Energy Storage Sector
EDSİS has also launched an internship program focused on energy storage within its first-half 2026 projects. The program, designed for university students, aims to include young talent in the sector at an early stage.
Program participants will take active roles in:
-technical content production,
-research projects,
-monitoring international work and
-reporting processes
among other areas.
