Türkiye's R&D Survey Enters New Phase
Economy and Business News Portal Turkishtime, with the seventh edition of Turkey's R&D Research beginning this year, will reveal where Turkey stands on its value-added journey.
The research, with the final participation deadline set at 30 March and involving over 1,500 companies; based on companies' 2019 data, will highlight the importance of R&D investment while motivating firms to foster an R&D culture in Turkey.
As serious steps have been taken in Turkey in recent years regarding R&D activities, the "Turkey R&D 250 Research" which Economy and Business News Portal Turkishtime laid the foundations for in 2013 is also interpreted as one of the most significant initiatives serving this purpose.
Starting with the vision of creating an R&D memory in Turkey, the "Turkey R&D 250 Research" launches its new term, and the research, in which thousands of companies have participated to date, is preparing to take the pulse of Turkish business world's R&D spending in its seventh year.
The basic data of the research, which includes over 1,500 companies this year, comprises: companies' R&D expenditures in 2019, the share of these expenditures in total turnover, planned R&D expenditures for 2020, R&D personnel numbers, patents received in 2019 at R&D centers, utility models count, design registrations count, trademarks count, and the rate of benefit from 2019 R&D support. Companies that appear on the list eligible to participate in the survey within the scope of Turkey R&D 250 research criteria must complete the relevant form by 30 March 2020 to be evaluated.
Primary objective: Motivation of Turkey's R&D culture
The research, which is driven by the vision of designing the future, pioneering the spread of innovation awareness, providing competitive advantage, having a say in the global arena, fostering qualified knowledge production and skilled human resources, and achieving sustainable economy, aims above all to motivate Turkey's R&D culture. Together with the belief that R&D culture will rapidly develop and spread throughout the organization, this approach is expected to also accelerate growth and export capacity.Research results will be included in the "2020 Turkishtime Turkey R&D 250 Report Publication"
Turkey R&D 250 research will be prepared with responses/data from surveys sent to the top 500 companies in Turkey's export rankings, companies with R&D centers registered with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and companies sharing R&D data with the Public Information Platform. In the research where the survey form is completed online, companies from which answers cannot be obtained this way will be contacted by a call center with expertise on the research topic to ensure completion of the surveys.
