The KAGİDER Global Platform, launched by the Turkish Women Entrepreneurs Association (KAGİDER), continues to bring together Turkish businesswomen living abroad. The platform held its first business-focused networking meeting in New York with strong attendance.
Established with the goal of creating a powerful network of solidarity and cooperation on a global scale, the KAGİDER Global Platform organized its first business-focused networking meeting in New York in line with this vision. The event, held in the impressive atmosphere of the historic Penn Club, brought together approximately 80 participants. At the event, KAGİDER members from Turkey and Turkish women entrepreneurs, senior executives and civil society representatives living in New York and New Jersey came together to assess business cooperation and trade opportunities between Turkey and the United States, particularly from the perspective of women entrepreneurs.
The foundations of the KAGİDER Global Platform were laid in New York in March 2025, followed by a second meeting in London in May 2025 with the participation of approximately 100 Turkish businesswomen. In September 2025, the platform continued its international expansion with a third meeting held in Brussels under the auspices of Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Turkey's Permanent Representative to the European Union. KAGİDER Global aims to further expand its reach through new meetings planned to be held in Croatia, the Netherlands and Germany during 2026.
The fourth meeting being held again in New York demonstrated the platform's steady global growth and its vision to strengthen international women's solidarity. The event, which brought together participants from different sectors, provided a strong foundation for experience sharing and the establishment of new business connections. Participants emphasized that bringing together Turkish women living in different parts of the world contributes significantly to the development of new collaborations and joint projects.
The event also addressed opportunities for strengthening women's leadership, developing international business networks and supporting women entrepreneurship on a global scale. Participants noted that knowledge and experience sharing among Turkish women living in different geographies not only makes individual achievements visible, but also creates a strong and sustainable global impact.
"KAGİDER Global is becoming a powerful ecosystem where international collaborations take root"
KAGİDER Board Chairman Esra Bezircioğlu made the following assessment regarding the progress of KAGİDER Global and its future goals in her remarks at the event:
"The fact that the KAGİDER Global Platform that we launched in New York last year is gathering again in the same city today, but with much broader and stronger participation, clearly shows how this initiative has transformed into an effective structure in a short time. This network, which has grown through the meetings we held in London and Brussels, is no longer just a communication platform today; it has become a powerful ecosystem where Turkish women living in different countries add value to each other and concrete collaborations are taking root. Our aim with KAGİDER Global is to build a sustainable global network where Turkish women, wherever they are in the world, can connect with each other, share their knowledge and experience, and create together. This structure, which brings together women ranging from entrepreneurs to corporate leaders, academics to civil society representatives, opens the door to new opportunities on an international scale. I believe that through the meetings we will hold in different countries in the coming period, we will further increase this impact and create a foundation for much stronger collaborations."
