Under the credit agreement signed yesterday, with Mizuho Bank serving as coordinator, the one-year transaction saw Türk Eximbank renew its syndication loan at 115 percent, providing a total of USD 645 million comprising EUR 418.8 million and USD 161.5 million in funding. A total of 22 leading banks from Europe, America, the Far East and the Gulf region participated in this transaction. Türk Eximbank General Manager Ali Güney, whose views were included in the statement, noted that they successfully renewed the syndication by reducing costs by 60 basis points in the euro tranche and 45 basis points in the dollar tranche compared to the same period of the previous year, and added: "Four new banks from Europe and the Gulf region, which did not participate in last year's transaction, also took part in this transaction. During this period when our exports have set records, we regard the syndication we have successfully completed as a strong reflection of confidence in Türk Eximbank and our country's economy. Our ongoing strong relationships with international banks contributed significantly to the success of our syndication transaction. We hope that the international funding we have provided will benefit our country and the export sector."
