Monthly Export Record Broken, Highest Ever Recorded

According to data from the Turkish Exporters Council (TİM), exports in March rose 11.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching USD 15.106 billion. March 2018 thus became the month with the highest export figures in export history. Additionally, for the first time ever, monthly exports exceeded the USD 15 billion threshold. TİM Chairman Mehmet Büyükekşi announced March export figures together with Kilis Governor Dr. Mehmet Tekinarslan and TİM Vice Chairman Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu at the Kilis Öncüpınar Border Gate. Speaking at the meeting, TİM Chairman Büyükekşi stated, "In the January-March period, our exports reached USD 40.7 billion with a 10.4% increase, while our 12-month exports approached USD 160 billion with a 10.5% increase. Our target for year-end is to exceed USD 170 billion."
