TurkStat Releases Annual Industrial Product Statistics for 2020
When manufacturing sector products produced in 2020 were classified by technology level, high-technology products accounted for 3.5% of total sales value, medium-high technology products for 27.1%, and medium-low technology products for 69.4%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released annual industrial product statistics for 2020. According to the data, Turkey produced 1,110,711 automobiles, 103,905,993 liters of cologne, 206,909,671 tons of ready-mix concrete and TRY 4,644,346,447 in pharmaceutical products in 2020.

Total sales from products manufactured by enterprises reached TRY 2,503,774,000,000. This figure was TRY 2,047,005,000,000 in 2019 and TRY 1,763,373,000,000 in 2018.
Food industry products accounted for 14.2% of this sales amount. This was followed by basic metals industry products at 11.3%, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers manufacturing at 9.4%, and textile industry products at 8.2%.
When manufacturing sector products produced in 2020 were classified by technology level, high-technology products accounted for 3.5% of total sales value. Low and medium-low technology groups combined accounted for 69.4%, while medium-high technology group's share was 27.1%.
When classified by main industrial groups, intermediate goods accounted for 46.4% of total sales value and non-durable consumer goods for 24.8%. Energy's share was calculated as 4.3%.
