TÜGİAD Receives Strong Interest in Hungary Türkiye Genç İş İnsanları Derneği (TÜGİAD) continues at full pace its market research initiatives launched to explore business cooperation and investment opportunities. After previously organizing Trade Missions to Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia, TÜGİAD's latest destination was Hungary. A 10-member delegation traveling to Budapest conducted a series of meetings and examined the investment environment in Hungary on the ground. Providing information about the organization, TÜGİAD General President Nilüfer Çevikel stated, "We are continuing at full speed our Trade Mission activities, which we launched to connect our members with new markets and explore new business cooperation and investment opportunities. Since the beginning of the year, we have organized Trade Missions to Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and North Macedonia. We obtained very positive results from all of them. The vast majority of our members participating in the mission reached the signature stage for new business partnerships. This time we set our sights on Hungary, with which we have signed a Free Trade Agreement as a country since 1998. This Trade Mission, which we organized with the support and guidance of Hungary's Honorary Consul Alpaslan Kaya, also yielded positive results like the others. There are major opportunities for Turkish entrepreneurs in this country. We encountered requests in terms of investment, business cooperation and exports. We will be able to see concrete steps in the near future," he said. The TÜGİAD delegation's visit to Hungary began with meetings with Hungary's Investment Agency (HIPA) CEO Mrton Szab and his team, and obtained detailed information on Hungary's economic and investment environment, as well as incentives and support provided to companies. The delegation also visited Turkey's Embassy in Hungary and met with Chargé d'Affaires Meltem Güney and Commercial Counsellor Meral Şengül, due to the ambassador's recent appointment and not yet having taken office. The delegation subsequently visited Dr. Lazslo Gyorgyi, State Secretary for Culture and Innovation of Hungary, at his office.

Meeting with young entrepreneurs

The TÜGİAD delegation also met with Hungarian young entrepreneurs in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. At the TÜGİAD-FIVOS Economic Forum organized by Hungary's Young Entrepreneurs Association (FIVOS), which has over twenty thousand members, the delegation met with FIVOS President Patrik Kovacs and conducted bilateral meetings with FIVOS members. TÜGİAD General President Nilüfer Çevikel noted that they have been acting as stakeholders with FIVOS under the European Union Young Entrepreneurs Organization JEUNE umbrella for many years and have produced many joint projects for young entrepreneurs, adding that relations will continue to grow in the coming periods for the benefit of both countries.
