TotalEnergies Trains Craftsmen

TotalEnergies, leading the technological transformation in the automotive sector, has launched comprehensive training programs for mechanics across Turkey in cooperation with E-Autotrek, a specialist in general automotive, electric and hybrid vehicle training. The training, covering hybrid vehicles, automatic transmissions and next-generation engine technologies, aims to enhance the competencies of service staff and prepare the sector for the future.

TotalEnergies, leading the technological transformation in the automotive sector, has launched comprehensive training programs for technicians across Turkey in collaboration with E-Autotrek, a specialist in general automotive, electric and hybrid vehicle training. The programs, covering hybrid vehicles, automatic transmissions and next-generation engine technologies, aim to enhance the competencies of service staff and prepare the sector for the future.

TotalEnergies, which has been operating in the lubricants sector in Turkey for over 30 years, continues to stand alongside technicians with the mission of contributing to the sector's development. To facilitate the adaptation of service centers and technicians to rapidly evolving and changing automotive technologies, TotalEnergies has joined forces with E-Autotrek, a company specializing in automotive, electric and hybrid vehicle training. In 2025, TotalEnergies conducted a total of 30 training sessions across 20 cities.

Within the scope of the project, specialized training is offered to technicians across Turkey in three main areas: Hybrid Vehicles, Automatic Transmissions and Next-Generation Engine Technologies. These programs aim to ensure that service staff are proficient in the latest technologies and can work more efficiently and safely in fault diagnosis and repair processes.

"Raising Quality Standards"
Mehmet Murat Selçuk, Deputy General Manager of TotalEnergies Turkey, commented on the matter:

"The automotive sector is undergoing rapid transformation, and it is a priority for us to stand alongside our technicians, who are among our most important stakeholders in this transformation. The comprehensive training programs we are implementing with E-Autotrek go beyond mere technical knowledge transfer. Through training that spans a wide range of topics—from hybrid vehicles to automatic transmissions, from next-generation engine technologies to correct lubricant selection—we are preparing our technicians for future vehicle technologies. The training we provide at service centers across Turkey not only raises the quality standards of the sector but also contributes to providing safer and more professional service to our customers. By investing in tomorrow's technologies today, we will continue to support the sustainable development of Turkey's automotive sector."

Technologies of the Future
Training content developed with E-Autotrek's expertise combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, providing technicians with a comprehensive perspective:

•    Hybrid Vehicle Training: Rather than focusing solely on high-voltage systems, the program treats hybrid vehicles as a whole, encompassing internal combustion engines, mechanical assemblies, fluid management and fault diagnosis methods. Participants gain in-depth knowledge of hybrid systems fundamentals and safety procedures.
•    Automatic Transmission Training: Designed around the types of automatic transmissions frequently encountered in the Turkish market, the program focuses on critical topics such as operating principles, mechatronic units, torque converters and correct fluid selection. This training aims to develop technicians' ability to properly address automatic transmission faults.
•    Next-Generation Engine Technology Training: This advanced-level training focuses on evolving modern internal combustion engines and is specifically designed for senior technicians. The training covers topics including integration with mild and full hybrid systems, the importance of OEM-approved lubricants, fuel economy and emission control in detail.

Throughout 2025, training conducted in numerous cities including Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, Adana, Trabzon and Gaziantep reached thousands of technicians. TotalEnergies Turkey will continue in 2026 to raise the standards of the automotive aftermarket services sector through these training programs and bring technicians across Turkey into contact with the technologies of the future.
