Tohum Autism Foundation and Voonka Kids Provide Support for Children with Autism

Voonka Kids and Tohum Autism Foundation continue their efforts to provide support in education. Previously, Voonka Kids created special education classrooms for children with autism in Mardin and Konya, and now provides support to autistic children through specialized online seminars during the education break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Voonka family, acting on their sense of responsibility for future generations, continues to support social responsibility projects particularly in the field of education. Through their cooperation with Tohum Autism Foundation, they have added a new initiative. As part of the "Following Education" project implemented with Tohum Autism Foundation, Voonka Kids established special classrooms with specialized materials for children with autism at Mardin Toki Primary School and Konya Ahmet Perihan Demirok Primary School, while also providing training to teachers on how to use these materials more effectively when working with their students.   Voonka Kids and Tohum Autism Foundation, within the scope of the "Following Education" project, are now supporting online training programs offered to families and specialists to assist autistic children who have been deprived of their special education due to Covid-19 prevention measures. The training, which will continue until the end of the year and will include families, specialists working in the field of autism, and students studying in this field, will encompass theoretical knowledge as well as practical applications from daily life. The project will offer training focused on the characteristics of children with autism, early intervention work at home, coping with behavioral problems, and preparing them for other stages of life even during this period when education has been interrupted.   Tohum Autism Foundation, established with the aim of making early diagnoses of children with "Autism Spectrum Disorder," taking the lead in providing them specialized education and integrating them into society, and expanding this nationwide, and Voonka Kids continue to touch the lives of autistic children through the "Following Education" project as a non-profit health and education foundation dedicated to public benefit.
