TOÇEV and Yves Rocher Partner on Meaningful Project

Tüvana Okuma İstekli Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı (TOÇEV) and the Yves Rocher Foundation, which has approached nature and humanity with respect since its establishment, have jointly implemented the PAYAM Ecological Almond Village Project in the Demirci district of Manisa. The opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, 6 September in the Demirci district of Manisa and was attended by Yves Rocher Turkey General Manager and Yves Rocher Foundation Representative Elif Berker, Yves Rocher Brand Ambassador Alp Navruz, Demirci Kaymakam Adem Kaya, Demirci Mayor Selami Selçuk, TOÇEV Executive Board Member Eda Çetin, TOÇEV Board Member Hakan Bilgin, Yves Rocher Foundation Supporter and Gastronomy Writer Sahrap Soysal and project supporters. The planting of all almond trees, fruit trees and aromatic plants that protect biodiversity in the project was carried out with the support of the Yves Rocher Foundation.   The PAYAM Ecological Almond Village Project operates with a long-term and sustainable income model independent of donations, where children can take root and connect with the soil. Within the scope of this project, which enables the soil to be enriched and produce crops by adhering to organic farming principles, the village contains 1,800 almond trees, 4,000 lavender plants planted to protect trees from harmful insects without natural or chemical treatments, and 100 fruit trees that support biodiversity. Implemented with the support of the Yves Rocher Foundation and under the leadership of TOÇEV, the project provides children with a healthy and developmentally open campus environment where they can learn and apply organic farming principles and discover ways to earn income by taking care of their land.       TOÇEV (Tüvana Okuma İstekli Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı) provides material and moral support throughout their entire educational lives to children who wish to study but are unable to do so due to their family's financial difficulties or are forced to work. Saying "education is every child's right," TOÇEV accepts each child as an individual on its path and works ceaselessly to ensure they become cultured, knowledgeable, well-adjusted, productive and integrated into social life. TOÇEV's journey, which began with 5 children in 1994, continues for 28 years through the projects it has implemented, reaching over 7 million children. At every step and in every project, TOÇEV is committed to being peaceful, unifying, educational, transparent and loving, and aims to serve as an example to all with this mission. For 28 years, it takes pride in its position above politics, standing beyond and outside any form of ethnic and ideological categorization.
