TİM Hosts Iftar Dinner

The Union of Exporters Chambers of Turkey (TİM) held an iftar dinner for exporters at an event organized in Istanbul. Commerce Minister Ruhsar Pekcan attended the iftar dinner along with heads of exporter associations, deputy heads, and board members. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle: "Our exports did not slow during the blessed month of Ramadan. As you know, we achieved a 4 percent increase in the first 15 days. We believe we will reach and even exceed USD 15 billion this month. Beyond that, we have no intention whatsoever of letting the process run its own course while watching our exporters break record after record. Our greatest goal is to seize all opportunities worldwide for our exporters, continue to increase our market share in existing markets for our export products, and launch more ambitious export drives in target countries and new markets. For this reason, as an export family, we are determined to evaluate all opportunities for our exports, increase our export growth rate above the growth rate in global trade, and act as the 83,000 field representatives of trade diplomacy." he said.
