TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle commented on the Presidential Decision regarding Support for Digital Activities in Market Entry, which covers company memberships on e-commerce sites, participation in virtual trade missions and virtual fairs, and organization of virtual fairs. Gülle stated, "On behalf of TİM, we extend our thanks to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan for their efforts in swiftly implementing this support, which is very important for our exporters. In this period, in an environment where classical marketing methods cannot be applied, we invite our exporting companies to become members of e-commerce sites, participate in virtual missions and virtual fairs." The Presidential Decision, published in the Official Gazette and supporting company memberships on e-commerce sites, participation in virtual trade missions and virtual fairs, and organization of virtual fairs, has pleased exporters. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle explained the decision with these words: "While company membership expenses on international e-commerce sites are supported at 60 percent and up to TRY 8,000 per e-commerce site, expenses specified in the circular regarding participation in virtual fairs will be supported at 50 percent and up to USD 50,000 per activity. Support will be provided at 50 percent and up to USD 100,000 per activity for expenses specified in the circular regarding virtual fair organizations arranged by cooperation institutions approved by the General Directorate of Exports. On behalf of TİM, we extend our thanks to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan for their efforts in swiftly implementing this support, which is very important for our exporters. Our greatest hope is to overcome this period by minimizing the negative effects of the pandemic on our country's exports and reducing the market losses suffered by our exporting companies."

"We will start virtual fairs in July-August"

Gülle, stating that TİM has been working intensively on this subject for approximately 2 months with the virtual fairs and trade missions committee they established, noted: "With the coordination of our Ministry of Trade, with the aim of minimizing the negative effects of the pandemic on our country's exports and the market losses suffered by exporting companies, we have started our virtual trade missions. We will start virtual fairs in July-August. Within this scope, we conducted our first trade mission with Uzbekistan on 13-15 May. Today we also organized our virtual trade mission with Kenya. We plan to conduct trade missions to 28 countries during the year, including India, South Korea, Pakistan, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Germany, Bulgaria, and England. In this period, in an environment where classical marketing methods cannot be applied, we invite our exporting companies to become members of e-commerce sites, participate in virtual missions and virtual fairs."
