Construction Work Accelerates at Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Production Facility

According to a statement made by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, construction work on the Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Production and Processing Facility, whose foundation was laid by the municipality, is progressing rapidly.

Work is progressing rapidly on Turkey's largest Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Production and Processing Facility, whose foundation was laid by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in recent months. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality issued a statement on the matter. The statement noted that teams are working intensively on the facility's construction.

Operations Targeted to Begin in Next Harvest Season

In a statement noting that assembly work has also commenced at the facility built in Başiskele Kullar; "Construction has begun on the facility, which spans 42 hectares and comprises a total of 4,000 square meters, consisting of 2,500 square meters of closed facility area, over 1,000 square meters of covered drying area, and approximately 350 square meters of administrative building. In the project work, steel assembly work commenced on the main facility building at the +6.60 meter mark on H axis. Additionally, interior drywall plaster work on the administrative building in the boiler room foundation reinforcement production has been completed, with ceramic work continuing. In the Building Control Department's work, the roof covering operations on the pre-drying building are nearing completion. While kitchen equipment installation is underway in the administrative building, foundation fabrication for the modular water tank is in progress." the statement said. In a detailed account of the work being carried out, the statement also noted that efforts are being accelerated with the goal of having the facility begin operations in the next harvest season.

Will Also Serve as a Farmer Training Center

The statement also noted that the facility initially envisages a daily processing capacity of 18 tonnes across 6 tanks, with plans to increase the number of tanks to 24 and daily processing capacity to 72 tonnes in the coming period. The statement also specified that the facility will be operated by SekaPark AŞ, research and development and trial production work will be conducted on medicinal and aromatic plant varieties, and it will also function as a farmer training center.
