ThorAtom and INFINITIX Sign Strategic Partnership in Advanced Nuclear Technologies

ThorAtom, a Turkish private company operating in advanced nuclear technology, and France-based INFINITIX have signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the development of molten salt reactors and nuclear fuel cycle technologies. The parties aim to contribute to the development of the advanced nuclear technology ecosystem, particularly in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

ThorAtom, a Turkish private company operating in advanced nuclear technology, and France-based INFINITIX have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at developing molten salt reactor and nuclear fuel cycle technologies. The parties aim to contribute to the development of an advanced nuclear technology ecosystem, particularly in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

The memorandum of understanding signed between ThorAtom and INFINITIX was executed in Istanbul at the 12th Nuclear Power Plants Summit (NPPES), organized by the Ankara Chamber of Industry and the Nuclear Industry Association with support from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Tarık Öğüt, Chairman of the Board of FİGES and ThorAtom, and Jean-Luc Alexandre, Founder and President of INFINITIX.

Focus on Molten Salt Reactors and Nuclear Fuel Cycle
Under the cooperation, the parties plan to conduct joint work on the molten salt reactor (MSRT) ecosystem, advanced nuclear fuel infrastructure, nuclear fuel cycle and sustainable nuclear energy solutions.

The partnership is also intended to support international collaborations for the development and commercialization of next-generation small modular reactor (SMR) technologies.

Technology Development Goal for the EMEA Region
Dr. Tarık Öğüt, Chairman of the Board of FİGES and ThorAtom, stated that the cooperation will accelerate the company's work in advanced nuclear technology, and expressed their aim to create strong technology development capacity in molten salt reactors in Turkey and throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Emphasis on Turkey's Regional Role
Jean-Luc Alexandre, Founder and President of INFINITIX, noted that Turkey has potential to become an important center in advanced nuclear technologies, and said they expect the cooperation realized with ThorAtom to produce significant technological and industrial outcomes in the long term.

The cooperation, aimed at developing technological solutions for next-generation nuclear energy systems, is intended to contribute to international research and development and technology development activities in the nuclear energy sector.
