TEMA Foundation Appoints New General Manager

Didem Bilgin, who has served as Deputy General Manager for three years, has been appointed as the new General Manager of TEMA Foundation.

Başak Yalvaç Özçağdaş, who has held important positions at TEMA Foundation for many years and has been engaged in activities to protect all natural resources, particularly soil, since its establishment, has stepped down from her position at the Foundation by handing over the general directorship to Didem Bilgin.

Regarding her departure from the position, Başak Yalvaç Özçağdaş stated, "Over 12 years, with the support of our volunteers across the country, we have advanced our Foundation by leading numerous projects. I extend my thanks to the entire TEMA Family and to Didem Bilgin, who will assume this responsibility, and wish them success."

TEMA Foundation Board Chairman Deniz Ataç, commenting on the change of position, said "As TEMA Foundation, we are moving forward with the goal of a more livable future by advocating for access to more fertile lands, clean air and water. Under the leadership of our new General Manager Didem Bilgin, we will continue to further develop our activities. On behalf of the entire TEMA Family, I thank Başak Yalvaç Özçağdaş for the valuable contributions she made to our Foundation."

Didem Bilgin, who has worked in civil society for over 20 years and has successfully served as Deputy General Manager at TEMA Foundation for the past three years, commented on her new role: "Following in the footsteps of our Founder Honorary Chairmen, the late Hayrettin Karaca and A. Nihat Gökyiğit, together with more than 1,100,000 of our volunteers, all our supporters and colleagues, we will continue to raise awareness and advocate for environmental consciousness in our country."
