Startup Investments Reach Nearly $2 Billion

Investor interest in the gaming sector continues to grow despite the pandemic. According to the Turkey Startup Investments report published by KPMG Turkey, total investment in the startup ecosystem reached approximately USD 2 billion in the first nine months of 2020.

The Turkey Startup Investments report prepared by KPMG Turkey highlighted the gaming sector's rising success throughout the year. The report reflecting developments in Turkey's startup ecosystem underscores growing investor interest in mobile gaming and digital entertainment platforms.

USD 45.8 million invested in third quarter

In the first quarter of 2020, startups received a total of USD 19 million in investment, while this figure reached USD 28.3 million in the second quarter. According to the report, startup investments rose to USD 45.8 million in the third quarter. The approximately USD 2 billion in transaction volume generated by share sales transactions in the gaming sector during the nine-month period of 2020 placed the gaming sector as the most invested-in sector.

Incentives and support available for gaming market
