SOCAR Energy School Graduates Its Fourth Cohort

The SOCAR Energy School certificate program, launched through a collaboration between SOCAR Türkiye and Sabancı University's Executive Development Unit (EDU), has graduated its fourth cohort. Certificates were presented to participants at a ceremony held on 17 April.

The program, which aims to bring qualified human resources to the energy sector, was completed after an intensive 12-week training period. Participants received comprehensive training covering the functioning of energy markets, global supply-demand balance, sustainability practices, and renewable energy technologies. In addition to technical content, the program was supported by modules addressing leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making processes.
Content focused on sector transformation
The program, enriched by contributions from national and international academics and sector experts, addressed critical topics such as energy policies, supply security, energy efficiency, and digitalization. Through panels, case analyses, and interactive sessions, participants had the opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into practice.
"Qualified human resources are critical"
Speaking at the ceremony, Elchin Ibadov noted that the energy sector is undergoing rapid and multi-layered transformation, emphasizing that human resources capable of adapting to this change are of critical importance. Ibadov stated that their aim with SOCAR Energy School is to add sustainable value to the sector.
Yusuf Leblebici drew attention to the importance of academia-industry collaboration in his remarks, noting that interdisciplinary and application-focused training programs have become increasingly critical today.
